A fun recipe with Darby Blush.
Syrup: 1 ¼ cup MountainRose’s Darby Blush:1/3 cup sugar; 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves. Bring the wine and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. Chop mint and add to syrup and let set to cool. Strain mint from syrup and store in closed container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
For each serving: Dip a wine glass into lime juice, then sugar to coat the rim. Add 1 tsp. Syrup (above), 4 ounces of MountainRose Vineyards’ Darby Blush, ¼ cup Sprite, 1 fresh mint leaf and 1 strawberry and crushed ice to the wine glass. Swirl and enjoy.
