Virginia Baked Apples


Description

Great for a fall treat!

Ingredients

6
apples
3⁄4 c
brown sugar
1 t
cinnamon
1⁄4 c
butter
1⁄2 c
autumn gold
1⁄4 t
nutmeg

Instructions

Cut out the core and pare off a little of the apple skin around the top. Equally spoon mixture into apple cores, place apples in a shallow glass baking dish. Bake for about 2 min. per apples in the microwave or until a fork pierces the apple easily.

Remove from the oven, plate individually and drizzle on some of the pan sauce. Top each apple with vanilla ice cream, a sprinkling of MountainRose Vineyards’ Autumn Gold, and a cinnamon stick.
