We are thrilled to announce that two of our latest products are recent award winners! Fans of our sparkling Traminette, Kelliokee, knew she was as good as gold, but now the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association has confirmed it! In August, MountainRose entered the ASWA wine competition with Splashdam White, Bear Creek Hard Cider and Kelliokee. Both Splashdam and Bear Creek garnered a Bronze medal while Kelliokee sparkled with a Gold medal win! Splashdam is a long-time champion, having won bronze, silver & gold in other competitions over the past 10 years, but this was the first outing for our new Kelliokee and Bear Creek!
The Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association was established in 1973. To help identify the best of the best, ASWA holds an annual wine competition, the largest in the nation focused exclusively on the wines of the East Coast. The competition covers the 17 states from Maine to Florida that border the Atlantic including Vermont, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. This year’s Best in Show was also a Virginia wine.
This is the first year we have competed in the ASWA and we are honored with this achievement. We hope you will visit soon to celebrate with us and taste the excellence of these and all our wonderful wines!
