Food and Wine reports that Chapel Down Winery’s dry Bacchus may be one of the wines served at the royal nuptials. Chapel Down’s website indicates this is a “crisp, refreshing white wine with aromas of melon, pineapple, elderflower and grapefruit. The palate is fresh and zesty with flavours of gooseberry and nettle leading to a crisp, dry finish.” Bacchus is a grape variety whose parentage includes the world famous Riesling.

Our Riesling will be your Wine of the Month in May with an extra 10% discount if you tell us it’s for your Royal Wedding Celebration!! Oh Bollocks…just say ‘Royal Wedding’ and we will discount a bottle of Kelliokee as well, since they may also have a sparkling wine!
