MountainRose Vineyards was recently awarded three Gold out of six medals in the 2015 Wines of the South competition. We entered six of our twelve award-winning wines into Wines of the South this year, and all six garnered accolades. A special Concordance Gold or judge's unanimous medal was awarded to our semi-sweet white wine, Blair White. Gold medals were awarded to Splashdam White and Dorchester Red. Silver medals were awarded to Cabernet Franc and the dry German-style Riesling, also a 2015 Virginia Governor’s Cup Silver winner. The Bronze was awarded to Jawbone Red.
Wines of the South is an annual regional wine competition designed to promote and celebrate the great tastes of Southern vintages. Wineries in fourteen southern states are invited to submit wine for judging. 2015 marks the 14th annual year for the competition. Wines of the South medals and awards are recognized by consumers and distributors throughout the United States.
